Let's take a look at the differences between CBS' Big Brother Season 1 versus Season 2. We voted Season 2 as the best of the two. There was one houseguest who contributed to our decision and that is Will. He is a very interesting and unique character. Demeanor & Intellect: Classy & Educated Houseguest: The houseguests on Season 1 acted super classy, for the most part. They were all very articulate and most held college degrees. A college degree in 2000 most likely carried a different weight than it does now. Today we have tons of sources online in which we can self-educate. Wild & Average Houseguest: The houseguests on Season 2 acted very wild (Amber jumping in the bed with Hardy on the first night; Nicole flirting with all the guys; and taking her top off in front of Kent; and the list goes on...) and their intellect level was average, except for Will. Head of Household Intensity No HOH: There wasn't any Head of Household contests on Season 1. They only completed tasks as a group for the food budget. 1st HOH Introduced: Season 2 introduced the first Head of Household contests by having one of the guest spin the wheel and name the houseguest who was a match to the label, for example, the "most talkative"... The later contests were more challenging. Jury. Audience decided who was the winner and who was banished on Season 1. Houseguest nominated, and if there was a 4-way tie, then those 4 houseguest were up for banishment! All evicted houseguests decided who was the winner on Season 2, and the two finalists were able to eliminate one vote. The evicted houseguests were not sequestered, so they could watch the show before deciding the winner. The current houseguests voted out the person evicted. Pets. Season 1 had chickens. They also had a garden. Season 2 had a dog. No Veto for either season. Laundry. Both seasons had to use an old-fashioned ringer type of washer to wash clothes. Smoking. Smoking was allowed on both seasons (years were 2000 and 2001). Please share with us which season you prefer. You may use the comment section below or contact us. Thanks for the correction Aeryn! "It’s not a huge deal but you’re mistaken about the pets. During Season 1 they had chickens AND a dog (a pug named Chiquita). While in Season 2, they got a potbelly pig named Ophelia (but only for 1 week)."

Big Brother Season 1 was totally different than the Big Brother seasons that you watch today. The house utilized a smaller square footage, there wasn't a Head of Household room, nor upstairs, and overall it was underwhelming in design and decor. The yard included live chickens, a garden and a pug dog named Chiquita. The competitions, if you want to call them that, were only regarding a food budget, and they used a team format. Essentially, if you can avoid getting Banished, you made $500,000 easily in three months. They also paid three places with first getting $500,000, second got $100,000 and third got $50,000. The current payout format is $500,000 for first and $50,000 for second. Keep reading to find out more details about the houseguest. Eddie McGee. Eddie McGee was honest throughout the show about wanting to win the $500K. He was very transparent, and even told the houseguests that he didn't trust any of them. He definitely added tons of value to the show, because he was so different. He received 59% of America's Vote to win after the 88 days stay in the house. We were excited when he won first place! Eddie shared with the houseguests his experience with a serious illness when he was a teenager that ended up taking one of his legs. Even though his leg was amputated, you never knew it, because he fought strong in the competitions. While the "team" competitions on the first season was like eating candy versus the current seasons, he always participated. He also did it with a great attitude. While he was straightforward, we don't remember Eddie every complaining. Eddie is 41 years of age and from Long Island, New York. He is currently a film and television actor. He has appeared in Drop Dead Roses (2001), The Ex (2006), The Human Race (2013) and God's Pocket (2014). He is also the founder and CEO of Tripod Productions, Inc. Joshua Souza. Josh Souza is 43 years old as of 2020. He won 2nd place on Big Brother Season 1. Joshua was one of the more interesting houseguest. At one time, he had two of the female houseguests chasing and fighting over him. While he appeared more interested in blue-haired Brittany, Jordan, the Stripper, continued to pursue him. Jordan's approach was if I can't have him, neither can you. Josh was a decent looking houseguest and a body to match. However, there were a lot of times that he stated things that pointed to an inquiry about his sexuality. During one episode, he said he would rather have sex with a guy versus kiss him. Chicken George ran with this statement and even voted to evict him under the pretense that he is doing a lot of damage to his character. In addition, Curtis continued to speculate about Josh's sexuality. Please keep in mind that the first season was a very polite group of houseguests (after the first three were banished) and their goal was to get along. While watching we also wondered if Josh was of Hispanic decent. While he considers himself White American, our research indicates that the name Souza is associated with Portugal and Brazil. Several of his relatives on the last episode also resembled Hispanic ethnicity. Ironically, when they were discussing the final three, they stated they saw the All American houseguest winning. This is when we had to look at our calendar to make sure that we were living in the millennium and not in the 1900's. Josh can be found on LinkedIn. He currently lives in the Miami, Florida area. His title is Business Development and Marketing Consultant. Curtis Kin. Curtis Kin, 49 years old in 2020, from Big Brother Season 1, won third place. During Season 1, Big Brother paid 3 spots. He won $50,000, which is better known as the amount paid for second place on the current seasons. In fact, Big Brother Season 1 was the only one that paid three places. Curtis played a modest role during the season. At times, he did come off as a typical Cali guy who thinks he is smarter than others. When he was one of the first few nominated by the other houseguests, he quickly changed his quiet demeanor. He started interacting with the others, more often. He made a couple of statements that pointed to Josh being either gay or bisexual. Ironically, we thought the same about Josh. However, during the season, this myth never came to fruition. At one point, we were taken back by a comment Curtis made to Josh, while Josh was stripping in front of him and Eddie. He said something like please don't do that in front of me... it wasn't what he said, it was the way he said it. Curtis definitely showed his professional potential on the show regarding his legal career. The attorney , at that time, is now a Judge for the Superior Court in California in Los Angeles. Prior to that he was Chief of the Criminal Appeals section at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Central District of California. We weren't able to confirm Curtis' relationship status. Jamie Kern Lima. The first Rewind Reality Star from the past that we introduce is from @CBSBigBrother. Do you remember Jamie Kern from Season 1? She entered the very first Episode of Big Brother while she was crowned as the Pageant Winner for the state of Washington. Jamie was definitely very careful with everything she did and said. A couple of her houseguests discussed her cautious approach with her. She was very political in most of her interactions in the house. She got along with everyone in the house, and it is only known to Jamie, if she really liked all of the other houseguests. At one time, she was flirting with one of the camera men. She raised a little public gossip, especially on Aol, when she elected to visit with a Casting Director versus her mother during one of the episodes. Her goal, after all was to become an actress. She even stated during one of the episodes that she would make a great host for Julie Chen. Big Brother was so kind to allow her to co-host during the next episode. While it was an epic fail, at least she got the experience. Ironically, the more humble houseguest, Josh actually did a great job as a Weatherman! Right after Big Brother, she became a News Anchor for KNDU in Tri-Cities, Washington. Later she went to Portland Oregon and became a News Anchor for KPTV. She went on to have major success after starting a cosmetic company, which she sold to Loreal for 1.2 billion cash in 2016. Check her out: https://www.itcosmetics.com/page?cid=about-us-meet-jamie … Check out her beautiful estate in California. Jamie Kern Lima is now married with two children. Her estate in California is next door to Oprah's! #RealityTV #bigbrother #Afforci Chicken George Boswell. Chicken George Boswell was certainly a wild houseguest in 2000 for the first season of Big Brother. While he was friendly, and handled negative words towards him from other houseguest in a positive manner, he behaved in an anxious manner after air banners targeted him. It eventually got to him, and he started a mutiny with the other houseguests in an effort to go against Big Brother production with a threat of walking out. After Big Brother producers call their bluff, they decided to stay. George was close to accepting the $50,000 offer to leave the house, but at the last minute he decided not to take the money. It wasn't a wise decision, because the second banishment after the offer, he was evicted. The good news is that a college offered a fully paid scholarship to one of his daughters, and he accepted. He is currently 62 years old and lives in Rockford, Illinois. He did appear on another season of Big Brother. His occupation is still listed as a Roofer. #bigbrother #RealityTV #Afforci Check the below video from 2017 with Chicken George: Cassandra Waldon. (Deceased). Cassandra Waldon was a houseguest for Season 1, and she decided that it was her responsibility to make sure she acted in a manner that represented her ethnicity well, and also her profession. She did a superb in showing how to behave in a classy manner. While I don't want anyone to feel like they have to carry this burden to please anyone, she did it, because sadly it was needed in society. I watched this in 2020, so there were a couple of statements that she expressed that took me off guard, for example, she told the other African American houseguest that he shouldn't act in a certain way towards a white female houseguest. I understood what she was stating, however, the gravity of her statement was pointing towards African American's feeling like a "guest" in America versus a citizen with rights. In fact, I know she was stating the sad fact in America, because some may think that whites are more superior to other races. In fact, at the end of the show, you can catch the final three houseguests stating reasons why they think someone was going to win. It was amazing how often they used the word "All American". Cassandra did a magnificent job, and she finished in 6th place. Because she was nominated so many times, I truly wanted her to strongly consider the offer financial offer made to them to leave the house early. Ironically, she was evicted the very next banishment. Cassandra returned to the house a few episodes later, as a visitor to share with the remaining houseguests what to expect after Big Brother. Cassandra was a Communications Director for United Nations. Sadly after our first writing about Cassandra last year, we found out that she passed away as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident. She was 56 years of age. #bigbrother #RealityTV #Afforci Brittany Petros. Brittany Petros was the most dramatic Big Brother houseguest of all time. Perhaps she started a trend of drama-filled guests moving forward. On Big Brother Season 1, she appeared insane, needy, confrontational and a self-proclaimed virgin (despite her peculiar sexual articulation). Ironically, even though she exhibited these attributes, she was voted as the favorite Houseguest!!! During Season 1, they didn't provide a monetary award for the Favorite Houseguest. Her recognition didn't last very long, because she was evicted the next episode after Chicken George's wife organized members of the public to vote her out. Yes, the nice guy Chicken George's wife! In addition, we were able to observe Brittany as she wore many hair colors: blue, red, green and her departure look, black. In a paradox, the same week she died it black (a traditional color), she was evicted. She was able to convince three other houseguests to die or highlight their hair (Curtis, Joshua and George). Brittany showed her needy side by always needing attention, verbal and physical. She even had two other sleeping in the bed with her. We researched her surname and the name appears to be Greek or Dutch. We wanted more of an insight into Brittany to understand the behavior of this houseguest, she was needy on one side, but started the Season off constantly being confrontational with William Collins. Also, Brittany developed an obsession with Josh. Josh was interested in Brittany and Jordan at the same time. However, he later stated that Jamie was more his type. During the last few episodes and after Brittany's eviction (4th to be evicted), it was announced that she signed with a popular Talent Agency. In 2003, she was able to appear as a guest on Days of our Lives, soap opera. Brittany is 46 years of age and is from Robbinsdale, Minnesota. Brittany works as a location manager and scout for TV and Film. Check her out today by viewing this portfolio. Brittany's Twitter. Brittany Instagram. Karen Fowler. Karen Fowler was the only smoker in the house, and she smoked a lot! In addition to smoking, we found her so annoying with negativity. She was a 43 year old from Columbus, Indiana, and unhappy because of her marriage, and spoke about it often. Then she started projecting her unhappiness until houseguest who were very kind towards her, like Chicken George. You know the old saying: "misery loves company". She wanted to share her miserable state with others. Chicken George remained positive despite her attempts. Finally, Karen was the third evicted, and we were wondering, what took them so long!!! During her Banishment filming, her husband was on set. They didn't discuss their issues, but they did embrace and kiss. One of her complaints about her husband is that he wasn't affectionate. We felt bad for him, since she aired their dirty laundry. They did divorce, and Karen moved to Los Angeles from Indiana. Furthermore, Karen was very close to Brittany in the house. They slept together often. They also showed each other a lot of affection. Brittany and Karen made plans to live together when Karen moved to Los Angeles. In 2017, it was rumored that she reconciled with the same husband she divorced after the show. She has decided to live a spotlight-free life. Jean Jordan. Jean Jordan aka Jordan in the house for Season 1 of Big Brother. She was an exotic dancer. Speaking of drama, she was full of it. She initially was a buddy for Will Collins, then once he was banished, she targeted Joshua as the objects of her desire. She competed against Brittany for his attention, and always felt like she should win. She was the second to be banished from the home. The houseguest nominated, and the public voted for which guest to banish. Right after her exit, she worked as a radio personality and stopped dancing. David Letterman was fond of Jordan, and thought the houseguest were crazy for evicting her. He joked about them evicting the interesting person on the Season, an exotic dancer. She can be found on Twitter, and lists her description as: "INFP-T. Founder of The Triveni Institute. Flushes dog poop down the toilet to keep it out of the landfill..." She lives in Chicago, Illinois. Jordan's Instagram. Jordan's LinkedIn. Jordan's YouTube. Jordan's Facebook. William Collins aka Mega or Will Mega. Will Collins aka Mega was one of the most dramatic houseguests of all time. He was certainly a go big or go home type of personality. He didn't hold his thoughts back! I didn't realize that 2001 was a time of heavy racial sensitivity, but wow how clear he made the point that it was a sensitive time. Will is 48 years of age as of 2020. Will was the very first in Big Brother American history to ever be evicted. He was also the first African American male to appear on the show. During his banishment interview with Julie Chen, she brought it to the audience's attention that it was discovered that he was a Black Panther member. What an amazing discovery, and how was this missed during the cast interviews. Mega was never short of showing assertive behavior, and he aligned with Jordan, who also had the same type of personality. They were known to be combative toward other houseguests. The house was very hyper-active when they were there. Once they were evicted, the house became refreshing and relaxed. It became even more relaxed once negative Karen was banished. What is Will doing today? It was last reported in 2017 that he is now an "education advocate, lifestyle consultant, political strategist, and issue advocacy consultant." He ran for Philadelphia City Council at one time, but a win wasn't reported. In 2018, he was given credit for a change that Lowe's made by suspending receipt checking policy. Overall, he has been involved in various political activist efforts. Watch Will Mega's attempt to get on Big Brother All Star Season 7: Credits:
