The #blacklivesmatter social movement is about equality to place it in the simplest terms. Why is one race experiencing so many unjust acts by the police? How long has the police behaved in this way prior to social media? Isn't the police's job to serve and protect? Aren't they supposed to arrest suspected criminals only? Why do they end up physically abusing and killing African-Americans, aka as Blacks, in the manner that has been brought to the public's attention recently. Regardless of the answer to these questions, enough is enough! It is time for a social movement to promote change.
I know there is one argument which raises the question: why do these individuals need to be arrested in the first place. How do we know if they really need to be charged for the reason they are arrested? We don't know until they have their day in court. So the activity that happens before they get to court is where a lot of the unjust acts are happening. The police are ending some of their lives before they get a "neutral" due process. Consequently, this leads to several questions: What is wrong with the police? Why are there such a high number of African-Americans targeted? Why in the past few months were there high-profiled deaths associated with these arrest. There is something so wrong with this system. We need an overhaul, and we need it now. Ultimately, we also need a social movement. I agree that African-Americans are treated in an inferior manner in society. I think Hispanics may also fall under the category of mistreatment. However, the recent events have clearly indicated that Blacks are treated horribly by police. We need it to stop, and it needs to stop immediately. Supporting this movement is imperative if society is to experience a change. If we remain divided, then we may continue to encounter the same bad habits. This is a good time to come together to support humanity. Once the ignorant people who don't support this movement are off this earth, the world will become a better place! Subsequently, here is a partial list of celebrities whose Instagram profiles are allegedly missing a clear and definitive posting to support the movement: #blacklivesmatter; a posting for the black out Tuesday; nor any other indication of support.* No alleged support from:
